We had some extra cod and salmon that we didn’t use in the Mediterranean soup so John put them on the cedar plank and grilled them outside. Since we are going home on Saturday my job was to find a way to incorporate all the vegetables we have left into some sort of cohesive dish. We had nine little potatoes so I steamed them. The other vegetable turned out to be kind of melange of cabbage, carrots, celery, zucchini and onion with Thai seasoning. I used a little sugar, the juice of a lime, some soy sauce since I didn’t have any fish sauce and sesame oil. Was it successful? John liked it but of course he likes everything. I thought the cabbage was a little weird in it but it didn’t stop me from eating my half of the dish.
