Tonight I am thinking, oh chicken Monday, do I really want to eat you again? Surprisingly, though, by the time we finish cooking I am happy that I do not let my cravings get the best of me. The dinner is very delicious and quite filling.
On the menu are pan roasted chicken, mashed rutabagas, broccoli/cauliflower melange, and chicken gravy.
One of my tasks is to peel and pressure cook the rutabagas. After giving the pressure cooker a quick cool down I mash them up.
I also cook the broccoli and cauliflower on our new, cool induction burner which was a gift from Ryan and Jonathan. John and I bump into each other a lot less around the stove since we got the induction burner.
John takes care of searing and roasting the chicken breasts. He tests their doneness using a probe thermometer.
