Whole grain penne with asparagus

Using asparagus always makes a dish feel like springtime! It certainly feels like Spring here in Northern California where temperatures are in the 70s and it won’t be actual Spring for another 2 weeks! Crazy weather!!

I really like the earthy taste of the whole grain penne with the asparagus. I also like the shapes complementing each other. The sauce is just olive oil and pasta water and the parmesan gratings finish off the dish.
