
I made this pasta recently and we both liked it so much I made it again. My secret? Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and add the pasta. Put small broccoli florets in a colander and when the penne is al dente, reserve a half cup of the pasta water, and then pour the water and the penne over the florets in the colander. Put everything back in the pot and add olive oil and some reserved pasta to make a little sauce. All you need now is grated parmesan and you are done.
