Grilled hamburger with chopped salad. 11/26/22
John grilled the burgers to perfection and I assembled a pre-packaged salad. No inventiveness in this meal but if I am going to have a red meat dinner, I would always choose a hamburger over a fancy steak.

Grilled hamburger with tabbouleh 11/18/22
Once again John is responsible for making the burgers and I am taking care of the tabbouleh. He does a masterful job of cooking the burgers out on the grill in the almost dark. They are more on the medium … Continue reading

Grilled hamburger with chopped salad 11/2/22
John made some really yummy hamburgers out on the grill in the dark! He says he can tell if they are done by how they feel and the length of time they have been cooking. This is why I leave … Continue reading

Zoodle-mania. 10/26/22
So here is a silly/stupid thing I did. I wanted to make some zoodles to augment our pasta dish. Unfortunately I pulled a cucumber out of the fridge instead of a zucchini! John snitched a few strands out of my … Continue reading

Tofu bowl. 10/20/22
The avocado finally ripened and we dined on my favorite bowl of our three, the marinated tofu bowl. This is another almost no-cook dinner. I heated up my cauliflower rice in the microwave but if you prefer actual rice you … Continue reading

Greek salad with hummus and pita. 10/19/22
Our recalcitrant avocado has decided to wait another day to ripen. Apparently the apple in the bag that is supposed to make it ripen faster has made a pact with the avocado to lengthen its time on earth. Who thought … Continue reading

Buffalo chicken wings and salad. 10/17/22
When I suggested we have chicken on Monday John voted for these chicken wings. This is the ultimate easy dinner and probably one of the more expensive ways to eat chicken wings without getting them at a restaurant or as … Continue reading
Grilled burgers and bean salad. 10/15/22
Even though I had to eat practically nothing all day to fit this hamburger into my diet regimen, it was worth it. Every once in a while I just crave eating like a normal (American) person. You know, a hamburger … Continue reading

Salmon green plate special. 10/3/22
We definitely have a division of labor when making this dinner. John does all things fish and I do all things vegetable. Here is how he prepares the salmon. First he chooses similarly sized pieces, in this case 3/4 of … Continue reading

Autumn soup, hummus, and tabbouleh 9/30/22
Tonight we dressed up our leftover Autumn soup with a strip of bacon each. I made a double batch last week which makes about 10-12 servings. The recipe below is the full fat version. I use about 1/4 of the … Continue reading
