Just as Monday is a themed dinner day so is Tuesday. I think Tuesday is my favorite, Giant Bowl of Food day. It consists of copious vegetables, a little bit of protein, low fat, and complex carbohydrates. It is important, … Continue reading

Woeful dieter – 12/26/16
Last night for dinner we had some leftovers from the Christmas feast and from the hors d’oeuvres on Pilat Eve. There are so many delicious but evil things in the refrigerator! After munching on some chips and dip with leftover wine, … Continue reading

Chicken, again (sigh) – 12/13/16
Boneless, skinless chicken breast is about as boring as you can get. I need to get out of this rut of bland meals! Do you recognize that root vegetable mash? It started out as mashed potatoes last week, then morphed … Continue reading

Not lentil soup -12/12/16
Tonight’s dinner was supposed to be lentil soup. I gave away a bag of lentils to our local food drive thinking that I had another. I always have plenty of lentils on hand! But, no. Switching gears I took the … Continue reading

Orecchiette with white beans, turkey sausage, and vegetables – 12/10/16
This was a clean out the refrigerator kind of dish. The sauce was basically a little olive oil and pasta water. This can easily be made vegan by omitting the turkey sausage.
